Representing American Yacht Club in Rye, NY, TEAM ‘MER is looking forward to sailing in the 2nd re-inaugurated International Women’s Keelboat Championship. Lucky to sail for a club with a deep history of women sailors and a tradition of supporting our women’s teams, Megan, Erin, Alix, and Carolyn have felt the support of the club as they have prepared over the last few months. All four team members sailed in last year’s event at their home club and are looking forward to an “away” and international event in Mexico.
About the team:
Megan has grown up in the junior sailing program at American Yacht Club where she sailed and competed in Opti’s, 420’s, and Lasers and is now coaching at a neighboring yacht club this summer. A recent high school graduate, Megan looks forward to moving into and starting college at Georgia Tech, where she plans to sail this August.

With a keen sense of tradition, Alix was a key player in continuing the competitive women’s sailing team at American Yacht Club. Alix and team member Carolyn have enjoyed sailing together on a variety of boats and in women’s events since 2008. Alix lives in Norwalk, CT and the is a mom of an opti rockstar.
